My name is Andrew Cline. I live in Los Angeles, California. I'm an architectural project manager and freelance graphic and web designer.

Brewlog and homebrew

I’ve been learning how to homebrew beer and I have started up a beer blog, along side two friends, to record our exploits and share news with each other as well as the homebrew community.

Come check it out over at http://brewlog.zasper.com

New re-design launch

I recently finished up a re-design for a client and we re-launched without a hitch last week. An interesting challenge was to create a layout that maintained a certain amount of interest without distracting or defining the works of art to be shown. Everything worked out beautifully.

Check out Translations Contemporary Fine Art Dealers and if you are ever in Denver visit their gallery.

…too many suspects

I was waiting to post this in hopes not revealing it might help sell a few more books. I think it has been long enough so here is a scaled down version of my illustration for Rabbit: A book for Marissa

Rabbit: A book for Marissa

Rabbit: A book for Marissa is now available for purchase.

I recently was given the opportunity to be included in a book that would contribute to a very worthwhile cause and that book is now available for purchase. Please read more about it on the Blurb website and buy a copy to help support the awareness and treatment of infantile spasms.

I want to thank all the creative people that helped make this happen and allowed me to do my small part (you know who you are). So go check out the book, what it benefits, and buy a copy if you can. Share it with your friends and spread the word.

A life mobile

So with my AT&T contract up for renewal, the temptation of an iPhone was too much to resist. So now I find myself on my porch making posts to my blog. Woowee. This kind of tech is life changing I tell you. Stay tuned for more nonsencical mobile postings and keep an eye on my twitter as that almost seems like it was made for “on the go” posting.

Lost words

A few lost words from my days as a library aide. Found in the back of a filing drawer under a shelf in my closet.

The rest of my death
They definitely didn’t see me coming. I crashed into reality like a soccer mom on her cell phone running over a jogger. “I’m dead, leave me alone. Please just let me bleed. I went out for my morning jog and this lady kindly ran me down. Thank you, now I can rest.”
The crowds burned off with the morning fog and I got up and headed down the street towards where I kept my sheets and pillow. Everything will be clam now, they think I’m dead. This had to be the brightest prospect since I was offered a buck to eat a hamburger in one bite. Man were they suckers, I got the hamburger and the dollar. Now I had the rest of my death to decide what to do and when to do it. I still had the dollar too.

Fluid Life
Dreams of water,
a life as rain.
I leave an angry sea,
playing hide and go seek on the mountain-beaches and ocean meadows,
never wanting to be found.

Blueberries in her hair
The manic hair hid a wicked smile.
She never knew she would kill her first husband.

Brain Juice
I love to see the juice of my brain spread on the page as little symbols.
A petrified forest of language.

There are a few more but I think they are best left where they are for the time being.
